These cylinders have earned a UL437 Listing, the ANSI/BHMA A156.30 Level A certification, and are classified
as high security because of their superior resistance to physical attack and protection against unauthorized key duplication.
The Medeco3 locking technology employs pick resistant pin tumblers that must elevate and rotate to the proper position
and interact with a slider mechanism and sidebar for the lock cylinder to operate when the correct key is inserted.
The slider and sidebar are two components that provide additional locking of internal parts not found in traditional cylinders.
The Medeco3 product line was introduced in 2003 with patent protection until 2021.
